Hi there, I’m Mo
a traveler, critic, creative and optimist

Like many designers, I didn’t plan on becoming one. In undergrad, I explored visual design, social entrepreneurship, machine learning, and philosophy; seemingly disconnected pursuits that suddenly made sense when I designed my first music distribution website.
Through a master's in HCI and 5+ years at growing companies, I've become the designer who untangles messy problems and gets everyone aligned. It's helped me design revenue-driving products ($20M ARR at Built) and features used by 14M users (at Metropolis). I love the full stack: shaping roadmaps, building design systems, and nudging pixels, in Figma and in code. I thrive in ambiguous spaces where "figure it out" is the brief, and I enjoy driving my team's collective understanding of a problem and solving it progressively.
Currently designing computer vision–enabled parking solutions at Metropolis; previously made construction finance simpler at Built Technologies and helped Gro Intelligence scale AI-powered products for food security and climate risk.

When I am not working I am...
Leveling up my guitar skills. My roommate, with whom I bonded over evening jams, suggested I should unleash my eclectic taste in music upon the world. Well, challenge accepted!

Making something spicy. I love trying new cuisines! I mean why have abs if you can't eat kebabs?

Carefully picking my next read. After the whole rush of binging online TV shows, I've rediscovered my childhood love for reading mysteries, fantasies, philosophy, life-altering non-fiction, and design.

Traveling! It's the only thing that can make me post on Instagram.
